Really good fish, and the tarter sauce is great, def give you more than enough to get your dip on, first time trying it. Also got a breaded tenderloin that was great. Will return again for sure.

Gropp's will be open all season I understand. Great news! The best fried fish I know of in Indiana! Plus they are getting ready for 4 seasons.

All in all, for someone who HATES fish, this Gropps and 1 other establishment is the only places I will go to get fish....and guess what...this is right down the road from me...sooo this one is really really good!! The fish has always been fantastic and I had moved away and hadn't heard that it had exchanged hands, and the food, service, and atmosphere have never been better! The new family that runs it is a very nice and friendly family. They strive for excellent service and even when confronted with rude customers who have the audacity to take their anger out on a child who is just learning how to use a cash register... the owner or another adult steps in immediately and handles the customer appropriately.

5 stars! What a welcoming, friendly place. The fish was wonderful, even transported an hour home and reheated. The batter is light, and the fish inside is flaky and cooked wonderfully. Similar to the Georgetown Fish of Stroh we remember. Can't wait to have it again, when we're in the area.

What a treat! The original 'fish of Stroh' from my long ago childhood! Updated to fish tacos with siracha slaw. Amazing!! Locals just kept coming and going, and we all know that is a great review all by itself. Many other menu choices. Reasonable prices for the times. Nice size.orders Eat on the porch (enclosed in unfriendly weather) or on the go. Restroom before you come or at the nearby gas station.

BEST FISH I have found here!! Family owned and lovely people. I'm from North Carolina and we have fish camps there...restaurants on rivers where some of the fish comes from. Gropp's fish tastes just like the fish camps. Huge love for their hush puppies and slaw. I'm eating there tonight!!

UPDATE: it's now under new ownership! Fortunately, the new owner worked there last year and is using the same EXACT recipe. I can confirm after buying 3lbs that it's as good as ever! Gropp's has the best fish around! It's hard to beat buying it by the pound for the price. The original famous fish of Stroh is right here 🙂
